Nikšić: Audit revealed suspicious tenders of the previous local government

The auditing company EuroRev from Podgorica concluded that the previous local government in Niksic, which consisted of councillors from Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has violated the Law on Public Procurement in the most tender announcements during the last year.

For counseling and legal services in the 2010 EPCG spent 4.56 million euro, in 2011 5.45 million and during last year 4.29 million. At least 7.5 million was paid without a bid to A2A, co-owner of the company who manages the EPCG.

The value of public procurement concluded during the last year in Montenegro were 323.15 million euro, or about 9.72 percent of the estimated gross domestic product, according to the Report of the Public Procurement adopted by the Government.
