Changes of the Law on public procurement entered into force

Nikšić: Audit revealed suspicious tenders of the previous local government

The auditing company EuroRev from Podgorica concluded that the previous local government in Niksic, which consisted of councillors from Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has violated the Law on Public Procurement in the most tender announcements during the last year.

Tender for tumor markers nullified again

State Commission for the Control of Public Procurement Procedures nullified the tender of Health Insurance Fund (HIF) for the procurement of medical equipment for the laboratories of public health institutions, which lasts more than 11 months.

Public procurement makes up 19% of the EU's annual gross domestic product, but how do we guarantee best value for money? The Parliament is currently working on new rules to ensure a more effective and transparent use of public money when public authorities pay for goods or services. The internal market committee will vote on the plans on 5 September.

EPCG sent facsimile to the Independent Daily ‘Vijesti’ of the opinion given by the Commission for the Control of Public Procurement Procedures on the 6th of September 2010. The opinion was signed by its former chairman Marko Lazarevic.
