Representatives of civil society – to the members of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina: We don’t want cosmetics in public procurement

Civil society organizations and members of the Association of Employers of BiH sent the open letter to the deputies of the Parliamentary Assembly which stand out, said the director of the Anti-Corruption Network Account Eldin Karic, that such amendments are the minimum for improving the anti-corruption mechanism in the New Public Procurement Law, which should reduce the high level of corruption in the procurement process.

Director of the Association of Employers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Alija Remzo Bakšić pointed out that the civil sector and employers for the first time obtained the public debate on this Law.

- If we are 10 years waiting for a new law that will protect the public interest, then it is better to wait more for the right solutions, considered Mervan Miraščija from the Open Society Fund BiH, pointing out that the Directorate for Anti-Corruption Initiative - Sigma is talking about the necessity of activating question of concession in new Public procurement Law ‘’and in BiH this question is not open’’.
