Montefarm awarded drug tender to the company that wasn’t registered for this bussines

Commission for Control of Public Procurement has found numerous irregularities in the annual tender of Pharmacy Institute of Montenegro - Montefarm, because among other procurement contracts, they have awarded drugs procurement contracts to companies that are not registered for the business in this area.

Unlike the previous years, under the scrutiny of the State Commission were found Montefarm decisions on the allocation of tasks to companies owned by formerly "untouchable" businessmen in the industry.

The Commission found that during this year Montefarm brought an unlawful decision on procurement of drugs by ‘Dubai’ company owned by businessman Oleg Obradovic and ‘Urion’ company, which has been a leading company in procurement of medical equipment and devices in Montenegro for over a decade, due to fact that they had no proof that they are registered for doing business in this area.

The Commission found that Montefarm adopted unlawful decisions on procurement of drugs by ‘Dubai’ company, owned by businessman Oleg Obradovic, and ‘Uriona’. Obradovic, a former director of Montenegrin ‘Telecom’ company and the former chairman of the Board of First Bank, for years dealt with the medicine business.
